I've never seen vitamins cure anyone. Except for a couple distinct situations but they weren't vitamins in general, they were both B12. One friend got the shots, the other the patch. Both were basically reborn. But you can't duplicate that by taking a fistful of B12 by mouth. Vitamin C will cause diarhea when the dose is too high, but if it didn't, then maybe the dose wasn't high enough. Same for magnesium. Personally I think the minerals are far more important than the vitamins. But then, everything works in concert. See, we are assuming that a gobful of vitamins is going to all go down the right path, follow the intended metabolism, no insults or imbalances along the way, and you know. We already know from our psychiatric symptoms that something within us is awry. So if vitamins weren't to work right, that shouldn't be a surprise I don't think anyway. Personally I respond poorly to high doses of any of the Bs. B12 shots made me more depressed and almost psychotic. C feels almost like valium. D causes herxheimer reactions with my lyme related stuff. But anyway I just wanted to share that I think things are just way too complicated and taking vitamins is probably not going to make a massive difference. Once in a while it will though. Regardless of whether vitamins helps us feel better or not, I think they are a good idea for basic general health, longterm healing, support against diseases and infections, cholesterol, toxin excretion, and such. For therapeutic purposes in psychiatric symptoms I strongly prefer botanical medicines, herbs, over vitamins. Hands down.No contest.
