Yes, I am about to start Parnate. Now, some questions about certain supplements arise. I have some phenibut. I use it prn, usually 4-6 times a month on certain social and/or high stress occasions. I have been looking for any possible interactions between the two. Using google, interaction checkers and reading posts on forums. So far, I have found little information on the subject and nothing conclusive. Only one well respected person, who posted once on the topic yrs ago. He stated that pure GABA affecting drug/supplements is safe with Parnate. Considering it is a GABAergic supplement and benzodiazepines are not contraindicated with Parnate. But that was only one post from 4 yrs ago.Considering phenibut is a GABAergic supplement and benzodiazepines are not contraindicated with Parnate.I am thinking this will be a safe combination. Considering phenibut is a GABAergic supplement and benzodiazepines are not contraindicated with Parnate. I don't think that GABAa or GABAb drugs would have a interaction. But, I would still really love a definitive and concrete answer to this. I figured the MAOI guys/girls on this forum would be my best shot at getting the answer.
I know Scott is very knowledgeable on MAOI's and psych. med. pharmacology. And that there are a lot of others on here with much experience and knowledge about the MAOI's. People on other forums, often recommend Psycho-Babble, whenever MAOI questions arise.
So is phenibut safe to use with MAOIs, in particular Parnate?
Does that also mean picamilon, baclofen, and the other GABAb and GABAa meds. and supplements are generally safe with Parnate?
Thanks guys and gals!!!
