Okay, but e.g. dexedrine is listed as having a half-life of 10.5 hours, but is only active for 4 hours, and withdrawal symptoms set in thereafter.

I thought Xanax was a similar case for some reason, and had like a four-hour window of action or something .. am I wrong?
