That is so interesting, I'd never heard before that TCAs tend to obtain a better response the older one is. It's actually surprising; I would have thought the opposite.

Phillipa: as long as you've checked out OK with your medical doc and have no history of heart disease, the TCAs should be perfectly safe to take, given that you don't take anything that might possibly interact with them, like certain anithypertensives and, obviously MAOIs.
