I have a love/hate relationship with stimulants. I feel like I have tried all of them for my ADD. Vyvanse lasted too long and I never slept - it was like speed.
Adderall XR 5mg (tiny dose) lasted all day and crashed around 4:00 - 5:00pm, but after 3 or 4 days it changed my personality for the worse - made me irritable and mean.
Ritalin did nothing.
Thinking outside the box, and considering I can do low doses of meds, I am wondering if there are other meds I can consider.
I didn't do well on Strattera (it messed up my periods and made me a little depressed).
My doc thinks I have some ADD inattentive and slight depression. I told her I felt great on Lamictal and Geodon, but I always felt hyper. She suggested in the future possibly trying a low dose on one and seeing if it would take care of the slight depression/ADD. It seems like it did when I took both meds separately.
Can't take Wellbutrin and I hate antidepressants.
I am wondering if anyone else takes an odd med to treat these issues. I know a lot of people take Abilify.
