pt141 bremelanotide / anhedonia / apathy

Posted by Trevpr on October 19, 2012, at 15:31:26

I have had Anhedonia/Apathy/Low Libido/Emotional Numbing for the past 12 or so months. My hormones are all checked and fine. I try to exercise when I can. I was diagnosed with major depression.

Yeah, I know, I'm basically asking the same question that I have been... But believe me, I'm desperate to get my sex drive back and to get rid of this apathy which makes my life dull, pointless, boring, and basically unlivable. Anyone else have any experience with this issue? Does it ever go away, or is it always residually with you? Anything work to counter it?

I've tried Mirapex, Wellbutrin, Vivactil, Abilify, Ritalin, Adderall, Effexor, and Desipramine. I only felt a slight change on the Ritalin, everything else I could not handle or didn't do anything at all.

I've heard alot of talk about Parnate, but the thing is I dont need energy, I just need emotional responsivity and motivation. I need to "feel" again. I don't know if Parnate is neutral or negative with the sex drive/anhedonia. I've heard both ways.

I really need some advice and need to know if it is something I should expect to go away or not. And by "go away" I don't mean growing used to living with it and accepting it.

Anyone heard of bremelanotide?
