Medicare (US) recipients: provider directories?

Sorry, a bit off topic -

How accurate has anyone with Medicare found the medicare.gov provider directory to be?

My supplement is Medi-Cal (CA Medicaid); which, unlike contracted Medicare Advantage plans [which currently get subsidies], has no financial (advertising) advantage in publishing a list of providers.

Not looking for a MD this time but LCSW/MSW/PsyD/therapist.
