This was one of the original ideas of orthmolecular psychiatry, appartntly based on he idea that niacin deficiency (pelegra?) sends you crazy, so therefor mega doses of niacin would cure all mental illness - flawed logic.
Probably nothing to lose by trying it, but I wouldnt expect a miracle cure
