Strattera to prevent tuning out? ok for anxiety?

Posted by CaffeinePoet on May 20, 2012, at 21:55:41

I have an issue with tuning out in meetings, lectures, and social situations.

Although I have a diagnosis of GAD, the tuning out does not seem to be anxiety related. It is more like we all have a running tape of what is going on and I am a little low on tape.

I have tried to *will* myself not to tune out, but it still happens!

For a while I thought that tuning out was due to anxiety, but my anxiety has been well treated and it still happens.

I am curious about trying an anxiety-friendly ADD drug to see if it would help with the 'tuning out' aspect. Something like -- Strattera.

Has it helped any of you with focus? Do you have any anxiety?
