>Similar thing happened to me, but probably worse--after the first few days when that (presumed) 5HT-2c antagonism was so pleasant, and activating yet calming, the drug exacerbated many aspects of my depression--lowered my mood, and made me more pessimistic and negatively emotionally reactive. Easily upset, as you say. It only got worse as the days went on. I took it for well over a month, but it only got worse. You may wish to consider discontinuing.
I attribute the negative effect to its melatonin receptor agonism; I got roughly the same thing from the sleep medication rozerem (a melatonin receptor agonist) and from melatonin itself. Melatonin intake can be associated with depression, though some research was supposed to indicate Melatonin 3 agonism (If I remember correctly, the type in valdoxan) was supposed to be immune from that effect. Apparently not--though, really, that's just a guess.
