Direct-to-consumer advertising of pharmaceuticals is banned in basically every other country in the world, New Zealand being the only exception I know of.That said, they still refrained from advertising psychiatric drugs on TV in NZ (at least up until 2 years ago, when I was living there). All I can recall is seeing adverts for OTC painkillers.
