Interesting. At usual therapeutic doses in humans, atenolol is claimed not to pass the blood-brain barrier very readily because of it high water solubility and low fat solubility.
Do you think your anxiety/depression might have improved even if you hadn't taken atenolol? Symptoms can fluctuate such a lot.
Still, the concept of a beneficial interaction with alprazolam is appealing. One of the main problems with alprazolam is the risk of dependence.
