It reduces d1 dopamine receptor levels, which is good, because too much d1 causes psychosis, but it also, as a side-effect, decreases d2 dopamine receptor levels, which causes the negative symptoms of schizophrenia to worsen (apathy, anhedonia, etc.).

Taking a stimulant like Vyvanse increases prefrontal cortex dopamine levels, serving as a nice complement to an antipsychotic.

Bad akathisia for the first 10 insomnia (yet i never became tired despite the lack of sleep) but my motivation increased tenfold and i've been MUCH more productive at work. Today the akathisia disappeared, but i'm also totally unmotivated. Why am i less motivated and more tired on the higher dosage? Shouldn't it be the opposite? I'm also on 10mg prozac and 400 mg lamictal.
