Headaches and depression

I have noticed a correlation that when my headaches come on my mood also seems to worsen. These headaches do not respond to pain killers either.
I think I have tried many of the mood drugs that also work on the pain receptors and they made me more depressed.
Anyone else? Ideas? Another one of those cyclothymic things that seemed more common lately.
