I don't think being homozygous or heterozygous for MTHFR would nemcessarily indicate effectiveness of Deplin. For example, I am homozygous for the MTHFR C677T polymorphism, but I do not have elevated homocysteine. On the other hand, I DO take a multiple vitamin that has 200 mcg of 5-L-methyltetrahydrofolate in it. And I am aware that this polymorphism may be associated with some other serious health issues I am at risk for, determined by standard testing/procedures. I use methylation pathway results to be aware of possible susceptibility, not diagnose.
Good luck!
