i really should try to figure out what this is, as my thumb still hurts and i hope it isn't a real injury. what happened twice yesterday is, around people (when i am especially tense as i slowly titrate lorazepam to take only the amt necessary) my thumb popped inward towards my palm and i could not move it, with it is a very weird alarming pain hard to describe; it isn't as painful as my alarm, but has that straining urgent feeling to it, like the pain like you get when you are in a hold and know that your arm cannot pushed further or you will be injured.
then it happened at a second meeting, one of my fingers, pretty sure it was my ring finger, but again i panicked. one of my fingers literally "popped up" out of my palm, protruded up away from the upper fingers at my upper palm, it did not shake back, and i slammed my other palm against my upper palm against the booth and it was gone (the pop up) and my hand and fingers were fully usable again.
does anyone know what i am describing? it happened right in front of people. i've also for years gotten a pain like this in my feet, like the phalanges are "folding over" and the pain is just as urgent; idk if this aids the description i'm wondering if they are related. it almost feels as if i must have long spindly bones in my hands and feet with not enough supportive muscle to keep them from crossing out of place under pressure, but i don't even know if that's possible.
