Hi Peter, I know it is a very low dose, but I have to start very low and work my way up slowly. Amitrip is known for its seditive effect but in some peolple it causes insomnia which it has done to me.I started taking it earliier in the day around 3pm yesterday and I did sleep better last night. I tried Remeron years ago and it was a night-mare for me.

Thanks
