I take 300mg XL as monotherapy. I've been on it now for 5 or 6 years. If I miss one day, I can't tell. But if I run out and drag my feet getting a refill, by the third day I can *really* tell. I start sinking, and negative rumminating starts to overtake me. Wellbutrin was not an immediate 'fix.' In retrospect, what I think it did, is make it possible for me to respond to psychotherapy, and over time it gave me enough relief from my depression that it allowed me the space to heal. I'd be afraid to try to stop it, though.

Oh.. as for dosing, I think I started at 150, then after a year went to 200, then about a year ago I went to 300.
