So,
I haven't been around in awhile. Lots of reasons.
The initial boost of energy and mood when I started AndroGel with total T in the low 400s slowly but surely disappeared. my lab from about a month ago reveals it is now lower, at 225, than baseline.
makes sense - I got very very cranky and my energy level had shrunk in the last 3 weeks to the point of having to drink massive amounts of caffeine to get through the day.
Doc upped dosage to 5mg/5gm per day and told me he's gonna refer me to an endo.
Am I playing with fire here? Here's what seems to have happened: At first, AndroGel raised T. Then, homeostasis kicked in and caused endogenous T to be lowered. Do I hope to raise testosterone levels until natural production ceases and i'm just adding it in manually? Would that cause permanent inability to produce it in my body?
F*ck. I just can't seem to win, my body fights me no matter what angle I try to fight depression from. It's as if it's saying, haha mister, if you try this I'll fight back by doing that... with every last therapy.
