my understanding is that the underpinning of DP/DR is extreme anxiety and not necessarily of a social nature. I've had DP/DR for years as well as social anxiety but I do not need to be in a social situation to get triggered.
Also, is is possible to know whether you daydreamed more or less than other kids? That's a very hard thing to objectively measure!
