Thyroid Glandula makes me tired?!

I bought some Bovine thyroid glandular

Its not standardized like Amour Thyroid, but it was a lot cheaper

Anyway, I though it would improve my energy levels
Instead it makes me tired & want to lie down

Before anyone tells me its fake, I know it is having some effect because it raises my body temperature significantly

What gives?
