Can you explain the tailspin when you tried the generic klonopin?

I've always taken generic.

Diagnosis: depression and anxiety
Current meds: paxil 20mg., desiprimine 20mg., clonazepam .5mg.
Of meds tried, nortriptyline worked the best but caused major weight gain so d/c
