You are probably right, then.

No, it really never resolved over time.
I remember having quite a bit more trouble during my time taking a combination of Parnate with desipramine. It seemed to get worse as my depression improved, and was not associated with dairy intake.
One thing to consider is that GI motility is often decreased as a symptom of depression, leading to constipation. I think gas might be a function of increased motility that might be associated with a favorable response to treatment. I hope that your gas is an indicator of a response to Marplan.
Would increasing fiber intake make flatulence better or worse? I really don't know.
I received some therapeutic benefit from Marplan, but not enough to remain on it. Were I in your position, I would continue with Marplan for a few weeks once you arrive at the higher dosage. There are some people whom respond better to Marplan than to Nardil. A great many of these people had to apply for a compassionate use protocol during the time that Marplan was taken off the market.
