Just monitor your blood sugar levels. Probably your doctor does that once a year or so. When I was on geodon, I was not over weight and developed high sugars a couple of months after starting it. I took metformin and it was not so bad. The blurry vision was probably from my high sugars.
Just monitor your sugars or have your doc do it, like in an anual physical or a test your pdoc could prescibe, like A1C, or just check once in a while with a blood sugar monitor.
Since stoping the geodon it all went away. You can have high sugars for a while but too long and you will get major problems.
