SSRI's have changed my personality permanently

Posted by Deneb on October 2, 2011, at 14:05:13

I've taken SSRI's since I was 18 years old! I'm going to be 30 in Dec!

I used to be really quiet and socially anxious. It was really affecting my life. Now I'm more social. I like being around my friend at work. Also I think I'm a really cheerful person now.

I would say that my default mood on a scale of 1 to 10 is 7, with 10 being the happiest. The anxiety has been replaced with happiness!

I'm been on SSRI's for so long that I'm sure they have changed me. My brain was still developing when I was taking them. I've read that the brain doesn't finish developing until 25 years old. For me I think results have been good. I tend to laugh and smile a lot now.
