Lots of support Matt! That's why we're all here. Maybe the rest of the world doesn't understand, but we do.

I don't usually support ECT. I was in your shoes when I went for it. I know exactly where you are at. It didn't help for very long but it did end that lousy chapter and started a new one that had some hope in it.

Correction. These meds were not designed to treat your symptoms. Most of them were accidental manipulations of molecules with a theoretical mode of action that may or may not actually be involved with a disease or not. When tested in clinical trials, the people used were carefully chosen and cherry picked, not representing the average person like your or me. Results are deceptive because of the way statistics are used or twisted, and because of the inherent human bias involved (who funded it, why, etc). They are designed for profit. That's what businesses are supposed to do. Sometimes we get lucky with one of their meds. Sometimes we don't.

Take a look at the meds you've tried. Any clues there? Can you rule out, for example, serotonin meds? Try to rule things in or out based on what you experienced. Was there an antipsychotic somewhat helpful? Maybe it could have been a different one instead of the ones you tried? Rhodiola Rosea....every tried it? Take a look at your vitamins and supplements....common stuff can help a lot if you are getting the right amounts of certain items. Your food needs to be under suspicion. Yeah, really. What happens if someone is gluten intolerant? Well, for one thing, they don't know it and they keep eating gluten every single day. Sometimes those people have intestinal problems or bowel problems as a result, but it usually shows up as brain problems when in fact it isn't a brain problem at all. Depression, anxiety, fogginess, stuff like that. All very common things if you are eating something your body reacts poorly to. Elimination experiments are easy free ways to pinpoint any problems with food choices. At the very least, you need to rule it out.

I wish you all the best and I know things will get better. I think all it really requires is examining what you've tried thus far, search for clues, and then when going forward make sure to totally avoid revisiting old ground. Whatever you do going forward needs to be new and different than anything you've done before.

There is a lot of hope in the Bible New Testament. At the very least, just call out to Him and talk with Him. Daily, hourly, whenever, as much as you can. He's probably wondering what's taking you so long. Maybe God doesn't always offer miracle healings, I've never seen it, and maybe that is one of the ultimate God questions, but He does promise "abundant life" to those who seek Him. And He does promise "wisdom" if you ask for it. After my failure on a backpack full of meds and ECT, it was the spiritual side and the herbal side that gave me new strength, hope, and progress forward.

You'll make it.
