That's really cool your striving to make the change. It's never easy and takes courage. My battle with alcohol was really tough. Something that really helped me was finding a replacement for the alcohol. I made the gradual shift towards moderating my intake and at the same time chose to drink mountain dew in its place whenever I could. I know it sounds stupid, but it helped me. Also, finding something new to do acts like a replacement, such as playing basketball or getting a hobby like being a movie buff. It focuses your mind and gets you involved in living a real life again. I hope you continue your brave path and stay positive.
