> On another forum, people seem to be using Memantine to remedy tolerance to stimulants.
Do you believe these people? Have you followed any of them to see if the therapeutic activity remains intact over time? How many of these people ultimately abandoned memantine and moved on to other strategies?
After more than ten years, I have not seen a successful augmentation of amphetamine with memantine. Nor have I seen any scientific investigations to study the validity of such a phenomenon.
Where memantine has garnered scientific support is in its ability augment the ant-nociceptive properties of opioids by preventing tolerance.
As for what I have seen so far regarding memantine and the prevention of tolerance:
Opioids: Yes
Stimulants: No

Some see things as they are and ask why.
I dream of things that never were and ask why not.
