> In the Charlotte Nc area. I have age 65 and older SSRI medicaire and medigap through united health care. Seems the docs don't accept it here have already tried some. And can't be benzo phobe as on them low dose for ove 41 years. And years ago was put into withdrawal by a young pdoc that thought could just quickly take off them. BP skyrocketed to 180/ forget what but a neurologist took it and immediately said you need a benzo doc let me write a script that will give you time to find one. So far nothing. Thanks Phillipa
Your Medicare supplement plan should be able to give you a list of doctors. Also, Medicare.gov has a list of doctors by specialty. If you aren't getting what you need out of your supplement, you might want to think about changing it.
I live in one of the most populous areas of California - seriously - and am Medicare+Medicaid ("dual eligible"). There is only ONE clinic that accepts dual-eligibles in the entire county, so I feel your pain.
Luckily, my doctor turned out to be awesome. You can also call 211 or 1-800-MEDICARE.
Good luck!
