Rich:
My name is Chris. I've read your posts many times on this board, and found them very moving, but have never responded to you before.
I think you should get a new psychiatrist. It is ridiculous that she is arguing with you, especially when you are depressed. I know the feeling. I have seen psychiatrists like that. I once say someone who talked like 80% to 20% him to me. It was like going to a lecture. It's extremely unpleasant to interact with a professional who is unempathic to our situations. If she (your p-doc) is not willing to up the dosage of Wellbutrin a bit at your request, well, that's not acceptable. It's also not acceptable that she will not let you try an MAOI, as you seem to be treatment resistant and those drugs do seem to work for a lot of people who are treatment resistant. I myself fall into that category. I am currently trying one more trial of an SSRI (Viibryd) before I go to an MAOI. I wish you luck and hope that you can find someone who will treat you with the respect you deserve as a person and patient.
