Gabitril (tiagabine) is a weird one. For some people, it acts like an anxiolytic and hypnotic. Others react to Gabitril by having agitation, mania, and insomnia. It is not all that reliable or predictable. Even though it is classified as an anticonvulsant, Gabitril can actually precipitate seizures. I found Gabitril to be cognitively dulling. If you decide to go with this drug, give low dosages a chance to work.

Gabitril is getting good press. However, I am not yet a big fan. It just isn't consistent enough in its effects interindividually.

Some see things as they are and ask why.
I dream of things that never were and ask why not.
