Parnate questions

Posted by brionk on August 2, 2011, at 20:30:36

I started Parnate at 20mg/day for two weeks and am now at 40 mg/day for past two weeks. Drowsiness (sedation) has been the prominent side effect, though I can live with that for now through sheer determination and several cups of Java during the day. However, my ability to concentrate (lack of brain fog) has greatly improved to the point where I have read three books in the past two weeks...more than I had read in the past two or three years. I am also much less depressed, feeling somewhat optimisic about my future instead of wondering if I really want to live the way I was feeling before. Question: Is the drowsiness likely to give way to the more stimulating "amphetamine effect" with increased dosing. I plan to go to 60 mg/day soon. Put more simply, is the "drowsy versus stimulating" a function of doseage, or more a function of one's unique biochemistry? Opinions welcome. Thank You. Brion
