I think the bipolar-spectrum disorders are being diagnosed differently than back in the day. I guess with all these new anticonvulsants and neuroleptics, doctors call people who once would've been seen as depressed or moody or even anxious as cyclothymic or bipolar of some persuasion. That's my take on it, anyway.
How do you feel about stimulants? The few cyclothymic people I've known responded well to stimulants and xanax. I know you were on a hefty dose of Dexedrine, but maybe something milder, or at least at a lower dose? I don't know...I'm just throwing things out there for you.
