I don't think one needs to wait. There are SO MANY things to do and try. But as long as the toolbox is limited to only what a psychiatrist prescribes, then yes, it might be a long wait. Meds have their place and I support them. It's just that when there are a bunch of failures, it's like logic is screaming at you and pounding the table but you don't hear....it's something else....the meds won't touch whatever it is.
Fortunately, the list of things in the plant medicine world to try is not a long list when someone is familiar with the plants, what they do, and how they have been used in other countries for over 2000 years.
Instead of waiting, do research, read, try stuff. It is your life, not the doctor's, not the scientists. Failure or success ultimately rides on what we do, not what they do. Just my opinion, but in great respect of what they do, the scope of doctors knowledge is much to confined and narrow to deal with the kinds of things you and me deal with.
