They were widely marketed, but not in the US for some reason..... closest thing in America would be Dalmane.

Flunitrazepam got a reputation as a date-rape drug (Roofies) and is hardly prescribed these days. Nitrazepam is still used, but not often, it has a logn ahlf life, and can cause hangover.....Temazepam and the newer "Z drugs" are the most commonly used hypnotics here
