> After trying most anxiolytics, antidepressants, and some antipsychotics with little success for my depression, severe GAD and panic disorder I'm now going to try to convince my doctor to try my on Nardil. How successful is it? Has anyone tried it and not had a good response??
The second time I was on it, my response was aborted at 90mg after only a short period of time (1-2 months) of symptom free days, but I don't know whether it was the drug, my metabolism, psychosocial factors (my Mom was just diagnosed with terminal cancer) or something else that caused it to stop working that time.
The third time I expected it to work as quickly as it did the first time (1-2 weeks) and in frustration gave up on it too early (maybe 3 weeks).
From my armchair and reading a lot of people's anecdotal evidence, give a 90mg dose up to 7-8 weeks before you decide it's not working. Nardil was responsible for the best years I've had since my first depressive episode. :-)
