Hi,
I totally feel for you! I posted this study a while back on this board. I'm on Nardil and used to sneak a draft Brooklyn Lager (the local brew) now and then, sometimes even 2 in one evening (BTW Brooklyn Lager is quite dark and ale-y for a "lager"). This all changed after my last visit to London (I am an expat) when I had one pint of Cronie 1664 and before I had finished it a full-on hypertensive crisis started. It was the 2nd most painful experience of my life (the other waking post-op with inadequate morphine) and sh!t-scary. I ended up in ER for 5 hours.

It transpires that there were some fava beans in my dinner that night but I ate at most 2 or 3 beans since I have IBS and beans = pain. They could have been a contributing factor but the Cronie was the catalyst for sure.

- that would seem logical and fits my experience.

- I think you're looking at it the wrong way round. If Nardil works, you will gladly forgo draft since you will be significantly better. I miss draft beer, playing footy and hate looking pregnant but it sure as hell beats how bad my OCD and depression was beforehand. Such is life I'm afraid. Besides, these days, more and more ales are appearing in bottles, no? They are over here anyway. Also, I don't know about you but more than 2 drinks and I feel more depressed the next day or two.

HTH and good luck,
pedr
