I've been having health anxiety lately. I think I have pancreatic cancer because I had yellow poop the other day. Pdoc laughed at me when I told her. I've also been getting a lot of colds this winter, like 4 or 5. I think I may be dying.
Pdoc said I don't have pancreatic cancer because I don't have any symptoms and that the yellow poop was caused by the large amount of nuts I ate the day before. Can this be true? Is she just making stuff up?
Anyways pdoc thinks this latest anxiety is from cognitive distortions and that I should read "Feeling Good" again. She said I did not need to change my meds. Meds weren't the solution, changing my thinking was. I got the new job at work and she thinks this new change is causing anxiety.
What are your thoughts on this? I did skip my meds a couple of days. Is she right? Is this something I just have to think through? Also please help convince me that I'm not dying.
