Chloral Hydrate Question-Please help!

Hi,

My psychiatrist prescribed me chloral hydrate a few months ago for severe insomnia. He is fully aware that I'm taking it for a few months now.

My question is: Can Chloral Hydrate possibly induce suicidal thoughts if it's taken this long? Is this a dangerous drug that I must worry about?
