> You know it really angers me that the FDA's fear of pain med abuse has caused so many pain meds to be withdrawn. Some say demerol will be next. Don't they realize not everyone abuses pain meds? They are talking that patches will replace meds by mouth. I'm sorry I forget what your pain is from? Never knew tramadol caused anxiety. Wellbutrin yes. Could it be the combo of the wellbutrin and tramadol? Phillipa
Yes, the doc did warn me that the two together "could" cause some anxiety problems. I just was not ready for something so sudden and severe! I literally barely knew my own name and could not put two coherent thoughts together! Today I am a different person (actually I'm the "me I know!) I haven't taken any tramadol since this AM --and won't either!!
We will have to think of something else for the pain. I am sixty-eight and have a severe spinal scoliosis and some stenosis. I do not have osteoporosis or any bone loss, my bone scans are normal --it is strictly arthritic and neuro from the stenosis. I was 5'7" ten years ago and am now 5'4" from the spinal curving.
You are right about the pain meds. Darvocet was perfect for me. I had developed some idiosyncratic PVC's but have been cleared by a cardiologist. He really didn't feel the Darvocet was causing the PVC's. I talked to the doctor who prescribed the Tramadol later this afternoon and will see him later in the week.
Thanks for your reply. I always feel better coming to this site -- kind of like family!
