I suspect that Nortriptyline has not lost it's effectiveness, I bet your pharmacy just changed which drug company they purchased your supply from. I have been taking Nortriptyline for 13 or 14 years now, and just in the last few months had some months that my Nortriptyline didn't seem to work at all, like I had been given a placebo when I filled my prescription. I talked to my doctor about it, they told me to talk to the pharmacist.

I talked to the pharmacist, explained which months my Nortriptyline didn't work, and they explained that my prescription had come from a different company the months that it didn't work! For me, the months it was refilled with Nortriptyline from TEVA, it didn't work for me. The company who makes the Nortriptyline that has always worked for me, is WATSON.

There are other posts on here about this issue,
under "Nortriptyline Generic or Brand Favorites?", it was nice to find out that it wasn't only me having the issue! LOL!:)

My doctor upped it about 7-10 days ago and now I just feel like I'm revved up and speedy most of the time. It seems like it worked quicker before. I feel lots of snxiety and I can talk excessively, etc. and it's driving me nuts the way I feel. What do you think?
