I did a search on cymbalta (duloxetine) and bleeding in this forum and found fiew specifics, but it seems to correlate to my experience:
At 60 mg of cymbalta I have experienced bleeding from my urethra (the urethra - tube that connects the urinary bladder). The blood appears in semen. I was very concerned and stopped taking it, also because of irritatability while on it. But since I am not a different combo of meds, perhaps it would be suitable. I was wondering if this goes away. I haven't mentioned this to the doc, because I already complain of many issues I just said I didn't like it. I wonder what you guys think. I tried this twice, same side effect.
Dr-bob forum search yields this:1.
When I complained to my doc about pristiq and cymbalta and the terrible gastro problems I was having he told me they could irritate my bowels/intestines. [perhaps unrelated]2.

Case/Review Venlafaxine-associated Vaginal Bleeding "
Leading me to this abstract:elsewhere online - pubmed -
Abstract
A 41-year-old amenorrheic woman started taking venlafaxine 37.5 mg/day for treatment of depression; 7 days later, she experienced vaginal bleeding, which ceased 1 day after she stopped taking the drug. On rechallenge with venlafaxine, she again experienced vaginal bleeding that resolved after discontinuation. We found no published reports describing vaginal bleeding associated with venlafaxine. However, premarketing and postmarketing data report similar adverse effects in patients taking the agent. In addition, several cases of menstrual irregularities have occurred with two other antidepressants: fluoxetine and bupropion. This case report supports previous surveillance data indicating that venlafaxine may cause vaginal bleeding.
4. Cymbalta can cause change or problem with discharge of semen.
This would be hard to notice, and few people would report this to the Dr. due to embarrassment issues. I hope people will feel free to share such info here.
I found the duloxetine OK, just gotta figure out the way to manage irritability and check for liver function.
