In reply to Seroquel affecting Parnate?, posted by Sailboat77 on December 21, 2010, at 13:56:52
Since you feel there's a possibility the seroquel's affecting parnate's positive effects, I'd definitely try the ambien for a few days to see if it makes a difference.
150mg seems rather high for just sleep...have you tried taken only, say, 50mg for sleep? I have been taking seroquel with parnate as well, though I've just about decided to go off the parnate cause it's not helping me at all after 6 weeks and it's shot my blood pressure through the roof. I take 1mg xanax + 50mg seroquel for sleep and it definitely knocks me out much better than ambien or lunesta.
Anyway, I'd try going off he seroquel a few days and just see if you feel any better. If not, you could go back on it. I do think, if there's a possibility it's going to interfere with parnate, that the possibility's greater at a higher dose, though, so perhaps if you were able to make it on only 50mg for sleep, that would effect it less.
