Nardil withdrawal and shortness of breath?

Posted by joekemst3k on November 18, 2010, at 0:26:33

Does anyone have any experience of--or know why it might make sense to have--shortness of breath during Nardil withdrawal? After having been on the drug for 1 1/2 years, I went cold turkey from 75 mg (and, no, no excuse forthcoming: it was boneheaded) about two weeks ago. I have been extremely lucky in that the main effects, which have all lessened day by day, have been lightheadedness, vivid dreams/hypersomnia, slightly elevated pulse, and a reduction in appetite, but the slightly labored breathing is more than a little scary as I am 36, have never had issues with anxiety, was taking no other meds, and am (or at least was as of six months ago) in very good cardiovascular health. Also, my doctor knows just about as much about MAOIs as she finds in whatever research I turn over to her.
