You are correct, all meds have direct effects on undesired things and have issues. I haven't studies the heart ramifications of your med. But I think it is within the comfort zone to say that pretty much all of our meds have heart risk of one kind or another. Every med poses a benefit/risk scenario that has to be decided on an individual basis. For example, let's say geodon works very well for person X. Which is better....for person X to have 30 good productive years on geodon, or for person X to have 50 non-geodon miserable years?
I would venture a guess that our commonly accepted food choices at the grocery store, the average typical American way of doing things, are far more caustic to the heart and the body in a multitude of ways than geodon is. But that's just me. Take it with a grain of salt. Salt is good, as long as it is natural sea salt or himalayan salt. :-)
