Paxil was too sedating, but helped. What next?

My wife was on 12.5 mg paxil for 2 weeks and decided to discontinue. It made her way too sleepy but she said it helped stabilize her mood.
Any idea of what she might try next? Her MD prescribed 20mg of Celexa to try next. Any opinions? I know it's the generic of Lexapro. Is Lexapro expensive even with good insurance?
