Hi Lamictal,
I have add. There is adhd (the h is for hyperactive). Many women have add. It's considered a 'silent' condition in girls because they usually do not act up or act out. Rather, they simply space out.
I also suffer from anxiety. Adding a stimulant gives me mental clarity and, because of that, calmness. However, I have never been manic or really hypomanic.
You also wrote about adding klonopin. Based on my own personal (therefore
unique) experience, two observations:Once benzos are started, they can be tough to discontinue--at least for me. No judgment one way or the other. I've taken varying dosed for awhile now. That said, I found klonopin good for my absolute worse anxiety--the all day, evetyday, practically doubled over kind. Cumulatively, it acted as a depressant. During a bad time recently, I dug out my old bottle and took one. I regretted it.
Xanax cr or extended release work well for me. In an emergency I take regular xanax, but because it is so quick acting, I could build tolerance easy.
Some here have other ways to deal with panic attacks. I think Deneb has a thread going about a med I don't know.
Good luck.
C-PTSD currently set to twitch. MDD and comorbid health issues. Chronic fatigue and pain.
