I didn't experience any side effects from lithium nor luvox. The Lithium actually did help me when I was first prescribed. When I came in, I displayed typical manic chracteristics - irritable, pressured speech, high strung. When given, I felt as if I calmed down, my my mind didn't. The pressure was released, but it didn't do much for my thought patterns.
