When I first tried Lithium I started with 150mg and then tried 300mg. At first (for about 4 days) I felt great! I had energy, but a little anxiety as well. I almost felt a little manic I felt so good. I started exercising and doing things. Then after about 4 days I settled down (I think the Lithium took effect and was in my bloodstream fairly steady by then) and then I felt too low and a little depressed. It didn't work for me. I have found both Lithium and Depakote make me flat. I never could reach the "therapeutic" dose.
Maybe a lower dose is ok for you, or maybe a higher dose would take away the anxiety.
