In reply to Wellbutrin for depression in PTSD, posted by creepy on October 20, 2010, at 11:48:54
Well, no, I haven't; however a close relative has and found it gave immediate and considerable short term relief of depression. He did not have ptsd, but I'd consider him inclined to anxious episodes. It kinda smoothed him out and gave him a boost.
The beauty of Wellbutrin is the easy starting and stopping. You can try it without the commitment required of many other meds. This might be overly simplistic--but I think it's worth discussing with your doc. (You don't mention bipolarity or irritability as issues.)
Good luck.
MDD currently controlled. C-ptsd and comorbid health concerns. Chronic fatigue.
